China and Russia are strengthening defence ties
Insulated by the mainstream media from developing ties between Russia, China, and Iran, few of us in the NATO alliance are aware of how they are uniting against us.
MACLEODFINANCE
Not many people in the West know this, but the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation was originally an agreement between Russia, China, and central Asian nations to contain and eradicate Moslem terrorism.
At a recent meeting in Astana, Kazkhstan the SCO’s members discussed extending this to a defence pact, according to journalist Pepe Escobar.
The meeting included subsequent members to the founders, notably Iran, India, Pakistan, and Belarus (which has observer status).
Furthermore, security agreements are likely to be extended to the enlarged and enlarging BRICS.
This means that the US, NATO and five-eyes members will have a more coordinated and cooperative rival to contend with.
But as Escobar put it, “Yet the key question remains: how will Russia–Iran–China (RIC), as BRICS leaders, SCO members, and simultaneously top three “existential threats” to the Hegemon, be able to start implementing a new global security architecture without staring down the genocidals [US, and NATO].
Quite.
However, it will be a Sun Tzu strategy against US and NATO group-thinking delusions.
How long it will take for mutual security agreements to be put in place is a moot point.
But the intention is there and is particularly relevant to Ukraine and Gaza.
There are two aspects of this move to consider.
The first, obviously, is that a clear signal is sent to America and NATO that China, Russia, Iran, and even North Korea agree to supply military technology and ordinance to each other.
America’s tried and tested divide and rule policy becomes a non-starter.
So far, China has only supplied kit to Russia which can also be used by civilians such as protective clothing and drones — so-called dual-use equipment.
The only complaint the western alliance can make is that it busts a huge hole in its sanctions regime.
But a new agreement to supply ordinance and military technology is a different matter.
It sends a clear signal that Asia and BRICS+ will stand together against US and NATO aggression.
This ups the ante at a time when Russia is winning the proxy war against Ukraine and the western alliance is increasingly desperate to stop Russia.
The threat against Iran has yet to materialise, but the mood music is that if you attack Iran just maybe you are attacking the entire Asian continent.
The second aspect is to ensure that America and her western alliance know that Asia, which includes the Middle East is out of bounds.
And not only that, but subversive actions to undermine BRICS governments and provoke regime change will be countered, either through mercenaries such as the successors to Wagner in the Sahel or by counter-intelligence operations.
The immediate objective is to get the message over to America to butt out of Eurasian affairs, at a time when the French are openly talking about sending NATO troops into Ukraine as opposed to “advisers”.
And Lord Cameron is doubling down on British support for Ukraine as well.
Behind the Sun Tzu strategy, it appears that China and Russia are raising the stakes.
They will have made a judgement call, that if the US is stupid enough to continue throwing her weight around in their sphere of influence, almost the entire continent unites against her.
Importantly, America might find that her pusillanimous European allies begin to chicken out: splitting NATO into factions is surely a consideration.
This is a space to watch.
